A pair of bookends in the shape of a Swordfish. Made in gilded bronze metal, in France during the 1940s. The gilding with some oxide spots (see photos).

These are originals and not reproductions. Comparable originals are listed on First Dibbs for $950.00. This is original high-end decor. Please note the following to compare: These are gilded, they are bronze, these were sandcast using the old sandcasting technique and the bottoms show the evidence, France is still faintly seen on the bottom, and this is the original size for the item. Reproductions were done in brass, not made in France, vary in size, and may or may not have been sandcast.
